Board of Directors
|
President |
I am in private practice in Hailey. I work with children, adolescents and couples. I grew up in Acapulco, Mexico so I speak fluent Spanish and that is helpful with my Hispanic clientele. I take referrals from the schools, Health and Welfare, The Advocates for Victims of Domestic Violence, St. Luke’s, and of course self referrals. Currently, I am enjoying learning more about Narrative Therapy. My husband and I moved to the Wood River Valley in 2002 from Southern California. Our boys were grown and out of the house when it seemed like the right time to slow down and have more space around us. We live happily on 16 acres with our three dogs, eleven horses, nine chickens, and lots of wildlife passing through daily. In the community I am involved with the Advisory board for St. Luke’s Center for Community Health and I do some volunteer work in the Hispanic community. My husband and I rescued 21 horses from a herd of brood mares going to slaughter last year and we are working on training and placement. I enjoy trail riding, swimming, Yoga, skiing, and visiting my sons who live in Mexico City and New York City. As a member of the IDAMFT Board of Directors I feel inspired by the energy, enthusiasm and professionalism of the persons I serve with. I am also fulfilling part of a personal goal which is to contribute to and be a positive influence on the profession of Marriage and Family Therapy in Idaho. |
